FLY Program
Web Design
THE CLIENT
Founded in 2000, Fresh Lifelines for Youth (FLY) is an award-winning nonprofit serving Bay Area youth impacted by the justice system. FLY serves more than 2,000 youth ages 11-25 throughout the Bay Area each year. They offer programs in four Bay Area Counties, and San Francisco, and advocate at local and state levels to disrupt the pipeline to prison.
PROJECT GOALS
FLY needed a new website to highlight the breadth of their programming and the importance of the community they serve: underpriviledged youth. The Friendly team worked to rebrand FLY as well as carry the brand into a new, updated website appealing to both donors and the youth that they serve.
MY ROLE
I worked as a web designer for this project, creating wireframes detailing the site structure. In visual design, I translated the newly developed brand into flexible site modules that could be adapted for future use as the client’s content grew.
THE WORK
The site is youthful and fun with bright, bold color-blocked areas and oversized text. Distressed textures add visual interest and a layered feel.
